Mumbai: For the development of Maharashtra, while appealing to all the MPs to forget the party differences and follow up with the Central Government on the pending issues of the state, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray directed the Chief Secretary to hold departmental meetings on the issues of the state government.
Addressing to Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs of state meeting was held at the Sahyadri Guest House under the chairmanship of Mr Thackeray on last evening to discuss the pending proposals of the state to the Central Government on the backdrop of the budget session of Parliament going to starts January 29.
Public Works Minister Ashok Chavan, Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde, Water Resources Minister Jayant Patil, Industries Minister Subhash Desai, Union Social Justice Minister Ramdas Athavale, Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar and others were present on the occasion. Corona led the meeting in two sessions.
Mr Thackeray said that the way will be paved for the MPs on the issue pending with the state government.
He also said that various matters would be taken up by setting up committees of departmental and subject wise MPs, adding that the people of the state also have expectations from the MPs.
While representing the people of the state, the issues of interest to the people should be addressed in a priority manner.
For this, every MP should get maximum funds from the Central Government to the State Government, Mr Thackeray appealed.
