Ukraine Aircraft crash: 180 on-board killed


Tehran, Jan 8 (GCCurrentAffairs) A Ukrainian aircraft with 180 passengers on board has crashed near Iran’s Khomeini Airport, killing all passengers, local meedia reported on Wednesday.
According to them, the Boeing 737-800 jet crashed near Parand, a suburb southwest of capital Tehran shortly after take-off.
According to Flighradar24 flight tracker, the Ukraine International Airline Flight 752 was scheduled to take off at 0515 hrs (local time) heading to Boryspil International Airport in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv.
“An investigation team from the national aviation department was dispatched to the location after the news was announced. We will give more reports in upcoming bulletins,” Reza Jafarzadeh, spokesman of the Iranian Aviation Organisation said.
The aircraft was said to be crashed due to technical problems.
The incident occurred just hours after Iran launched more than a dozen ballistic missiles against US military and coalition forces in Iraq
