Vasco Rape Case: PAAI demands CBI Investigations
Speaking at the public meeting organized at Vasco to create awareness about the growing atrocities against children and women, Anil Kankonkar, covernor, PAAI said, “Justice to the seven-year old has been denied. It has been over four-months and not a single trace of the police nabbing the rapist. In fact it appears that the police are protecting the rapist and even the people responsible for destroying the evidence – headmistress, class teacher and head-clerk. CM had even spoke about Monty – a nephew of the headmistress but later said Interpol report says that Monty was not in Goa but Dubai. Till today the police have not shown the little girl the image of the accused rapist and they approached Interpol.”
Another PAAI member, Advocate Guru Shirodkar, stated the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is fooling the people of Vasco and Goa. He created a fictitious character Monty in Assembly and then said that Monty is not the accused. His intent was to confuse the public with his intellectual corruption. Therefore, this case should be handed over to the CBI, since the police are puppets in the hands of the CM and his ministers.
