Vinesh Phogat creates history as first Indian woman to win gold at Asian Games

Jakarta, Aug 20 (UNI) Vinesh Phogat on Monday created history becoming the first Indian women’s wrestler to win a gold medal at the Asian Games.

Vinesh thumped Japanese Irie Yuki 6-2 to take the numero uno spot in the 50 KG category.

Vinesh took a 4-0 lead in the final.

She completely outclassed her Japanese opponent.

This is second gold medal for India in wrestling while earlier Bajrang Punia was the first to claim yellow metal.
