Kandolkar condemned the attack on Wagh whom he considers a “big brother”. “Vishnu’s allegation is totally false,” Kandolkar said, asserting that none of his supporters were involved in the attack.
He questioned how Wagh, who is not a resident of Tivim, identified and named his attackers who had their faces covered. Wagh had earlier named 10 people from Tivim constituency as his attackers.
Not naming NCP state president and former Tivim MLA Nilkant Halarnkar, Kandolkar said, “Everyone knows who was present with Wagh at the Mapusa police station and this person must have given the names of my supporters to frame me.”
He alleged that Wagh’s family could be involved in the planned attack too as despite the MLA being unwell he was forced to attend the cultural function at Nanora.
Wagh is on record stating that he was asked to attend the function
