“Organisations have the freedom to express their views. We cannot curb their freedom of expression. However, if attempts are being made to disturb the communal harmony of the state of Goa, then the BJP-led government will take serious cognizance of any such attempt.”
When questioned of the intent of the controversial Sri Ram Sena group of setting up a base in Goa and the utterances of its Chief Pramod Mutalik on the westernization of the women in Goa, Sawaikar said that as far as communal harmony is concerned and protecting the interest of the people of Goa as a government will not hesistate to clamp down on anti-social elements.
