Wuhan: The World Health Organization (WHO) team that is in China to investigate into the origins of the coronavirus in the Chinese city of Wuhan completed their 14 days quarantine on Thursday and will begin their on-the-ground probe.
The scientists will interview people working in research institutes, hospitals and the seafood market in the city which has been linked to the initial outbreak in Wuhan city, a BBC report said.
Their investigation will begin after months of negotiations with the Chinese authorities who were initially reluctant and will largely depend upon the evidence that the Chinese authorities provide them with.
The group of 13 experts had arrived in Wuhan on January 14, and had to spent two weeks in quarantine which ended on Thursday. While in isolation, the team had been in touch through video calls with each other and Chinese scientists.
