Panaji: Gearing up for the upcoming elections in Goa, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) is in the process of shortlisting its candidates and that it will contest the elections independently.
Rumour mills were rife in political affairs in Goa after Arvind Kejriwal met with the MGP leaders.
MGP President Deepak Dhavalikar informed that they will be announcing candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in February 2022 only after August 15.
Dhavalikar also announced that MGP will contest the elections without any alliance.
“I would like to inform that MGP candidates for the upcoming elections would only be announced after August 15. As of now nothing has been finalised as to who will be getting the tickets,” said Dhavalikar
MGP today handed over a memorandum to the Goa Governor P.S. Sreedharan over bad network in rural areas which intern is hampering online education.
