Will extend support to CM to cleanse Goa drug menace: Sardesai
He further added, “As opposition I extend my full-support to the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to cleanse Goa of this drug menace in Goa, because Goa future is above all political disagreements. Such incidents put Goa in bad light. Goa has already been garnering a negative image on account of drugs. But first it is important for the CM to introspect and realize the errors of the Home Department in tackling this menace and this particular issue.”
“When a local mob got irate in Colva over the alleged molestation of a young girl, police resorted to lathi-charge and tear gas. But with the unruly mob of the Nigerians who broke the Hearse van, left the dead body on the road and destroyed public property, the police appeared to be taking the ‘Atithi Devo Bhavo’ concept seriously, watching the Nigerian rampage as mere spectators, ” Sardesai further expressed.
