Will take Congress down, if they try destabilize my government: CM

Soon after the declaration of the Supreme Court Order suspending mining operations in the state, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar held a close-door meeting with his team of MLAs to access the situation and formulate a strategy to counter the anticipated opposition from different quarters affected by the mining crisis and also those from the political circles (especially Congress) who see it an opportunity to destabilize the BJP-led government.

Sending out a clear message to the MLAs those continuing to hold strong with the Parrikar-led government and especially those who have been clandestinely conniving with the Congress to destabilize the government, CM categorically stated, “I will bring the Congress down, if they try to destabilize my government. And I will ensure that all the corrupt Congress ministers involved in scams will be taken to task.” He further added at that meeting that I have enough files of evidence to put the Congress politicians in jail. This was revealed to by a few MLAs on strict condition anonymity.

Not known to take attacks lying down, it appears that CM and team of loyalists are gearing up to wade-off any destabilizing plan that the Congress party might try and put in place.

But political grapevine doing rounds is that the Congress is lobbying hard with certain mining-affected companies to create weaken the government position.
