Winds of change blowing across Bengal will ensure over 200 seats for BJP: PM Modi

Jaynagar, South 24 Parganas: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday claimed that the BJP would sweep the West Bengal elections with over 200 seats as he can see the winds of change everywhere and assured implementation of all promised central assistance schemes after May 2, the day of declaration of result for 294 seats ” In the peaceful and record turnout in Bengal in the first phase, people have given huge support to BJP.

Slamming Chief minister Mamata Banerjee for calling all national opposition leaders to unite against the BJP, Mr Modi questioned the TMC supremo’s stand on the “outsiders” and said being a chief minister of a state “Didi cannot indulged in acts against the federal structure of the country.”

” Afraid of losing elections, Mama Didi has appealed to leaders of other parties for help and support,”claimed the PM. He also hit back to the TMC supremo for calling his Bangladesh trip unethical. “Is it a crime to visit a neighbouring country and pay obeisance at the mandirs?” asked the PM.

Ms Banerjee had stated that PM visit to Bangladesh was unethical and in violation of the of model code.

He said the TMC government headed by Mamata Banerjee was standing like a wall for the poor farmers in Bengal as many central schemes including PM Kishan Yojona, Aysuman Bharat and other poverty alleviation projects were not extended.

Mr Modi assured that after May 2 all the projects would be extended and Rs 18,000 from three years arrears to be paid to the farmers directly to their name in the respective banks.

He said cut money, syndicate and tola bazzi made the state to such a state and any investor fears to trade in Bengal. ” Trinamool is not cool, it is a ‘shool’. It gave unbearable pain to Bengal,” alleged the prime minister.

At the outset PM Modi said, “I want to pay tribute to Shova Majumdar ji, daughter of Bengal. Shova ji was the face of those countless mothers of Bengal, the countless sisters who were tortured by the people of Trinamool. That face of Shova ji does not come out of my eyes,”

Eight-four year widow succumbed to her wounds this week after being allegedly beaten by TMC supporters on February 26 at her Nimta residence while trying to save her son, who was a BJP activist.
