Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today assured the House that the government will bring about a legislation within two months banning the entry of youth below the age of 21 years into casinos.
It may be recalled that the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party had tabled a Private Member’s Bill seeking a ban on locals from the casinos operating in the State on grounds that its destroys not only the social fabric of the state but also ruins families as youngsters get addicted to gambling.

However, the government today assured the house that it would bring about a new legislation that will ensure that youngsters do not get entry into the casinos and therefore are protected from the evil of gambling while at an impressionable age.
