Youth For Goa worked in 3 phases in order to increase the participation of the electorate, youth in particular, in the recently concluded State Legislative Assembly elections. In the first phase, they created awareness about the Nodal Officers appointed by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Goa in the different colleges to enable the first-time youth voters to enroll themselves. In the second phase, they visited colleges and gave a short presentation to the students about the importance of voting and how each vote counts. In the final phase, they printed posters and stickers with slogans encouraging voting and created a buzz about voter participation among the voters prior to the polling day.
