It was the USA where the trend of resigning from jobs had first emerged, and now, a new trend of ‘quiet quitting’, which comprises working on a contractual basis has started gaining ground in the country. A number of surveys conducted in the USA have revealed that the workforce of the country is suffering from feelings of tiredness and sadness.

A survey conducted in the month of January, by research firm Gartner, revealed that more than half of the employees are questioning the aim of their jobs and the purpose of work in their lives. As per the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), in the month of July, half of the American employees were looking for new jobs. 29% of the people who have resigned recently stated that they left their jobs for a better work-life balance.

According to a survey by Gallup, in the second trimester of 2022, only 35% said that they were still connected with their work, and another 20% said that they did not have any liking towards what they do for a living. The SHRM research has concluded that more than half of American employees are tired beyond limits at the end of the day, and that is why people want jobs which are less stressful.
