Hyderabad: Union Minister of Tourism and Culture G Kishan Reddy has encouraged the youth to embrace the opportunities presented during the Amrit period and contribute to the country’s development.

During a program held at the Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology in Secunderabad, Reddy, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, virtually inaugurated the Roz Gar Mela, where appointment letters were distributed to 71,000 candidates who secured jobs in various government departments nationwide.

Addressing the gathering, Reddy highlighted that Prime Minister Modi has set a target of filling 10 lakh central government jobs within the next 10 months. Currently, 3.60 lakh jobs have already been filled.

“The Prime Minister has identified vacancies within the central government and is determined to fill them promptly.

However, there have been delays due to certain legal matters. We witnessed the TSPSC paper leak incident in Telangana, which hindered the job recruitment process”, Reddy said.

He further emphasized that the Prime Minister has prioritized skill-based employment and personally engages with the youth to communicate his vision. Each month, the Prime Minister participates in the program to inform young individuals about his goals.

The Union Minister said, “The next 25 years are crucial for our nation. Despite various challenges, India is now providing a multitude of facilities. As we celebrate 75 years of Independence, India stands as the world’s most populous country with a vibrant youth population. In his address from the Red Fort, Prime Minister Modi envisioned celebrating 100 years of Independence in the next 25 years, aiming to position India as the ‘Vishwaguru.’ The youth will play a pivotal role in the progress of our country.”

Referring to Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Bharat Biotech Company in Hyderabad during the COVID-19 pandemic, Reddy commended the efforts to develop vaccines.

He highlighted the remarkable growth of the mobile phone industry in India, mentioning that from two companies in 2014, the country now manufactures cell phones worth 18,000 crores and has become a global supplier.

Kishan Reddy also reiterated the Prime Minister’s commitment to combating corruption, a key agenda of the 2014 election, which led to Modi assuming office as the Prime Minister.
