4 persons with link to ISIS arrested by Gujarat ATS in Porbandar

On Saturday, June 10, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested 4 persons, including a woman, in the coastal town of Porbandar, having links with the ISIS, who are part of the ISIS terror model, after several raids were conducted to arrested the accused. All of the 4 are being said to be active members of the terrorist organization, and it is suspected that all them were trying to flee abroad.

A special team of the ATS had been active for the past few days for this special operation in Porbandar and the surrounding areas, and has now successfully busted this ISIS terror module operating there. The arrested accused have been identified as Ubaid Nasir Mir, Hanan Hayat Shawl, Mohammad Hajim Shah, who are all from Kashmir, and Sumerabanu Mohammad Hanif Malek, who is from Surat. Another resident of Srinagar, Zubair Ahmed Munshi, has also been detained.

During the raids, several incriminating evidences like the accused’s pictures with the terrorist organization’s flags, and radical publications were recovered, and based on this, an FIR has been registered against the 5 arrested under relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), 1967.
