Interim budget will accelerate development of country: UP Governor

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel said on Thursday that the interim budget presented in the Lok Sabha is going to accelerate the development of the country, which will enable it to become a 5 trillion dollar economy in less than the next three years.

While reacting to the interim budget, the governor described it as representing the aspirations of a young and developed India.

Praising the interim budget, she said that the budget is the Ram Rajya budget of the new India, which focuses on the poor, women, youth, and farmers, in which every section of society has been given a gift.

She said that the central government is moving forward to fulfill the aspirations of the people along with higher prosperity. She described the budget as promoting self-reliance and entrepreneurship, along with skill development, and said that along with improving the economy, it will also make it possible to create a large number of jobs.

The governor said that the inclusion of Anganwadi workers and Asha workers under the ambit of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the budget and the provision of free cervical cancer vaccination for girls aged 8 to 14 years will improve the health of women and children.
