J&K: SOG launches search op after grenade found in hospital complex in Poonch

Jammu: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday launched a search operation after a grenade was found in the premises of a district hospital in Poonch.

Official sources said a rusted grenade was recovered on Thursday evening on the rooftop of residential quarter of district hospital.

“Some children noticed the grenade and the police on getting the information rushed to the spot and averted a major tragedy,” they said.

“The SOG team this morning carried out searches in the hospital complex and the adjoining areas,” they added.
