Amidst the brutal atrocities being faced by the minority communities in Bangladesh, especially by the Hindus; Julian Leeser, an MP from Australia, has raised his voice for the Hindus of Bangladesh, and against the violence and persecution faced by them; in the Australian Parliament.

‘I call on this House to acknowledge the humanitarian catastrophe, unfolding right now in Bangladesh’, said Leeser, and continued, ‘As I speak, Bangladeshi Hindus are being subjected to increasingly violent persecution.’

‘Sadly, while it is not a new occurrence, it is one that has increased in severity and frequency in recent days. The rule of law and the maintenance of social order in parts of Bangladesh are breaking down, and we are seeing the most terrible outcomes’, added Leeser.

Highlighting the cold-blooded crimes against Hindus in Bangladesh, Julian said, ‘Hindu neighbourhoods have been targeted with households, temples, and workplaces being attacked by large, violent mobs.’

Julian Leeser was also seen emphasizing on the fact that in Bangladesh, there is a lack of respect for people from a different faith, traditions, and for people who hold a different political viewpoint. He mentioned further how the country has also been noted for rampant corruption over the years.

‘The plight of the Bangladeshi Hindus cannot be ignored’, remarked Julian, and called on the Bangladeshi government to ensure the safety of all its citizens, no matter what their religious beliefs or political affiliations may be.
