Washington DC: Leaders of the G7 nations –  US, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Japan – called for a reform at the World Health Organisation (WHO) for what the term is a lack of transparency in response to the global coronavirus pandemic.

US President Donald Trump chaired a videoconference with other G7 leaders. “Much of the conversation entered on the lack of transparency and chronic mismanagement of the pandemic by the WHO. The leaders called for a thorough review and reform process,” The White House stated.

“G7 leaders agreed to remain committed to taking every necessary measure to ensure a strong and coordinated global response to this health crisis and the associated humanitarian and economic calamity and to launch a strong and sustainable recovery,” said the White House.

The coronavirus pandemic has infected over 2.2 million people across the world and has resulted in the untimely deaths of 149,884.
