Washington DC: The bias and stupidity of social media platform Twitter continues to be exposed by their own misdoings, the recent in embarrassment is that Twitter has accorded a verified blue tick to a fake and parody Twitter handle of the US President Donald Trump.

A Twitter handle @chetporter with the name ‘Donald Trump Sucks’ has been verified with a Blue Tick.

Verified accounts reportedly are not handed out to fake Twitter handles or impersonated Twitter handles. It is reportedly given to legitimate account holders after Twitter supposedly does it own verification process.

This blue tick verification raises a question on Twitter’s bias in offering Twitter Verified to questionable Twitter handles.

The account states ’I am not Donald Trump. Thank God’

Of course sources in the know have told GoaChronicle.com that in India there is a price you pay to get a blue tick and number of followers. Prices range from Rs 50,000 for verification to Rs 1,00,000 plus for verification and increase in the number of followers.
