Accelerate Aurangabad City Water Supply Scheme among other projects: Shinde

Mumbai: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday directed to speed up various important development works and projects in Aurangabad district as well as Paithan constituency including water supply scheme for Aurangabad city, late Balasaheb Thackeray memorial to be realized in the city and revival of Sant Dnyaneshwar park in Paithan.

Mr Shinde also gave instructions regarding making funds available for all these projects in time.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr Shinde regarding various development works in Aurangabad district and Paithan constituency at Sahyadri State Guest House.

Employment Guarantee and Horticulture Minister and Guardian Minister of Aurangabad District Sandeepan Bhumre, MLA Sanjay Shirsat, Additional Chief Secretary of Cooperation Department Anup Kumar, Principal Secretary of Energy Department Vijay Kumar Singhal among other concern officials .

Aurangabad Collector Astik Kumar Pandye, State Sugar Commissioner Shekhar Gaikwad and others participated in the meeting through audio visual system.

Mr Shinde said that the work of water supply scheme of Aurangabad city should be speeded up. For that, the work should be completed at the earliest using the latest technology for the emergence well in Jayakwadi reservoir.

The concerned departments should take coordinated action regarding the phased completion of the works in the scheme and the demand for necessary funds.

The work of late Balasaheb Thackeray memorial and memorial forest to be realized on behalf of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation should be speeded up. The final design of the statue at this location should be determined,Mr Shinde added.
