American bombers in Aero India, Egypt, Argentina want Tejas

On the second of Aero India, the USA landed two of its heavy bomber jets B-1B IN Yelahanka. This is the second time when Supersonic Bomber Jets B-1B have come to the air-show. They had come for the first time in 2021’s Aero India, and had done a fly-past with Indian fighter jet LCA Tejas. Major General Julian C Cheater, Assistant Deputy under Secretary, International Affairs, American Airforce, said that this bomber provides all sorts of options.

A day ago, the USA presented the most advanced fighter jet, F35, and with its presentation, the USA is eyeing a future deal. In the meanwhile, Egypt and Argentina have shown interest in buying India’s light-weight fighter aircraft, Tejas. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Chairman, CB Anantkrishnan, said that talks are underway with both the countries regarding the same. He added that Egypt requires 20 aircrafts, while Argentina needs 15 of them. HAL has received orders worth 84, 000 crores till now.

On the other hand, the Indian forge of the Kalyani Group has started the work of manufacturing engines for the aircrafts, and four types of small engines have been developed which are used in drones and missiles. 45, 120, 160, and 320 KG engines are ready.
