Hangzhou: The Indian women’s squash team were defeated 1-2 by Hong Kong China in the semifinals at the Asian Games 2023 here on Friday.

Tanvi Khanna lost the first match of the tie, but Joshana Chinappa brought India at par with Hong Kong China by clinching a five-game thriller.

The 15-year-old Anahat Singh gave everything, but Lee Ka Yi guided her country to a gold glory, and made India to be satisfied with a bronze in women’s team squash.

Meanwhile, the India vs Malaysia men’s squash semifinal will begin today at 4:00 pm IST. The Malaysians clinched gold while the Indian men’s team won bronze at the 2018 Asian Games.
