N’djamena: Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby has appointed Allah-Maye Halina, the country’s ambassador to China, as the country’s prime minister, Chadian newspaper Al Wihda has reported.

On Wednesday, Chadian Transitional Prime Minister Succes Masra announced that he had tendered his resignation along with the transitional government following the presidential election in the country held in early May.

Mahamat Ahmad Alhabo, the minister secretary general of the Chadian presidency, read out the president’s decree about the appointment on national television, the report said on Thursday.
