Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp and a store shed were damaged in a fire incident in Indra Nagar area of Srinagar on Tuesday.

Fire and Emergency officials said that fire broke out from the attic of two storey CRPF camp building at Indra Nagar at 7.28 am today.

The fire fighting engines were rushed to the spot from nearby stations to put out the leaping flames. However, the attic and the second floor of the camp was completely damaged.

An unserviceable store shed in the ground floor was also damaged in the fire incident, he said.

However, there was no report of any injury to any person.

The cause of the fire is believed to be due to the Kerosene oil bukhari being used for the heating purposes during the winter, he added.
