Muzaffarnagar (UP): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that the double engine government is a destroyer for the mafia, corrupt and those playing with the safety and honour of women and girls.

After inaugurating and laying foundation stones of development projects worth Rs 242 crore in Muzaffarnagar, the CM said, “The double engine government is the destroyer of all mafias, corrupt, criminals and those who outrage the modesty of our sisters and daughters. Such elements will go

into the abyss.”

He said, “Those who used to force people to migrate from Muzaffarnagar have migrated themselves. It is my good fortune that I am able to visit Bhagwat Bhoomi Shukra Tirth and see the Akshaya Vat. The state government is going to constitute the Shukra Tirtha Development Council very soon and preparations for this have been completed.”

Earlier, while planting saplings, he appealed to the people of the state to plant one sapling each.

The CM also fed jaggery to the cows at Shukra Tirtha and performed Aarti of Maa Ganga.

Noting that after almost four years he got the opportunity to visit Bhagwat Bhoomi, he said, “The dream of the holy stream of Maa Ganga passing through Shukra Tirtha is being realised today. Ganga is spreading happiness and prosperity in the lives of crores of living beings in this world, and now her stream will pass through Shukra Tirtha.”

Yogi stressed that the country is embarking on a new chapter of development and heritage under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership by citing examples of the revival of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Somnath, Kedarnath, Badrinath and Mahakal.

“Not only this, the grand Shri Ram temple is taking shape in Ayodhya,” he said.

Criticising the previous governments, he said that this work could have been done earlier also, but the previous government did not have time to respect the faith of the people.

“They neither respected the heritage nor took the development forward,” he said.

The CM said that the state government is going to constitute the Shukra Tirth Development Council soon.

“This will give development a new dimension, improve connectivity, generate employment opportunities and open new doors of development. Today, the inclusion of Muzaffarnagar jaggery in One District One Product (ODOP) adds sweetness to the entire world,” he said.

He said that earlier the daughters were not safe in Western UP and even an exodus had started.

“Anarchy was at its peak, farmers were upset, and the youth were unemployed. But today, the one who plays with the safety of daughters will go to the abyss,” he said.

Yogi said, “Government ensures the security of traders today. Those who forced others to migrate have done so themselves. The welfare schemes of the government are being made available without discrimination. Today, no one can disturb the kanwariyas. They are being showered with flowers by the government today.”

He said that with the inspiration of Lord Shukradev, 30 crore saplings were being planted in the entire state on Saturday. Appealing to all, he said that instead of cutting down a tree older than 100 years, respect it as a heritage tree.

The CM said, “Trees not only give us oxygen but also conserve water. Today, global warming is a concern for everyone. It is our duty to plant more trees in this situation and to protect the heritage trees.”
