Nagaland delegation calls on Shah

New Delhi: A delegation from Nagaland under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphui Rio met Union Home Minister Amit Shah here and discussed various issues pertaining to the Northeastern state.

During their meeting with the HM on Wednesday, they also briefed about the concerns of the people of the state on UCC.

“Called on Home Minister Amit Shah Ji with a State delegation. Discussed the concerns of the State’s citizens regarding UCC and Eastern Nagaland,” Rio wrote in a tweet on Thursday.

Expressing his gratitude to Shah, the CM said, “A great statesman, I thank him for his wisdom in understanding issues and continued support to the State.”

Nagaland Deputy CM Y Patton, who was also the part of the delegation while apprising about their meeting in a tweet wrote, “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Amit Shah Ji for his unwavering patience and empathetic understanding towards the issues of our State, which were the primary focus of our meeting.”

“His consistent support and dedication are truly commendable,” Patton added.
