Naveen urges people to work unitedly for a transformed Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen on Tuesday appealed to the people to work unitedly for building a developed and transformed Odisha.

Hoisting the National Flag at a state-level function here, Patnaik said Odisha today marched ahead with people from all sections of the society- poor, farmers, women, ST , artisans and youths.

He said Odisha has now reached the era of transformation. The application of the 5 T principle has created new hope in all sectors of development. All sections of the people- rich, poor, middle class have joined in the process of transformation, he said.

Stating that women are the face of development, Patnaik said the Mission Shakti has become the engine of transformation of women. They have reached the next level of democracy.

“Farmers are our pride and the development of farmers has always been the focus of my government,” the Chief Minister said.

The Odisha government, he said, has taken the responsibility of paying the premium of Fasal Bima Yojana for the farmers of the state.

The Chief Minister said the state government will impart training to one lakh youths every year under NUA scheme to make them employable.

The government, he said, has launched Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha programme with a budgetary provision of Rs.4000 crore to propagate Jagannath culture and development of modern infrastructure in every village in the state

The Chief Minister further said the BSKY scheme launched by the state government has brought a major transformation in the health sector.

He said four lakh more beneficiaries have been included under the state-sponsored Madhu Babu Pension scheme and they will get their pension from August 15.

The government, Patnaik said, has decided to provide banking services with the opening of banking outlets in 4373 unbanked panchayats which will help senior citizens, women, and physically challenged people.

The Chief Minister claimed that Poverty has been reduced in the state to a great extent and around one lakh crore investment is now coming to Odisha creating employment opportunities for the youths.

Patnaik paid tributes to the great leaders of the nation and the state who have sacrificed their lives for the independence of the country. He said the contribution of these leaders has inspired the people, As a result, the country has established itself as a major force in the world.
