Jammu: Police on Tuesday detained one Pakistani national from a village close to an international border in Khour Sector here in the city outskirts.

Police said one Pakistani national was detained early this morning in the Millan Di Khui area of Khour.

“The detained person seems to be mentally unsound and identified himself as Zakir Khan, 35, a resident of Karachi, Pakistan,” said police.

“Nothing incriminating was found in his possession, and he might have inadvertently crossed over to this side,” said police.

A senior police officer, while confirming the detention, said a case has been registered under relevant sections and an investigation has been initiated.
