Security beefed up outside AAP & BJP offices, CBI hqts

New Delhi: The security was on Monday beefed up outside Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg and near the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters at CGO Complex in view of a call for massive protest against arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

Delhi Minister Gopal Rai called a massive protest outside BJP’s national office in Delhi. “AAP will celebrate Black Day today by protesting across the country against the arrest of Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia. Today there will be a protest outside BJP’s national office in Delhi,” Rai tweeted.

AAP leader and Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh alleged that Modi ji only arrests those who give the country the model of education and health.

Delhi Police and Para military personnel were deployed and three-layered security barricading near CBI headquarters where Sisodia was arrested on Sunday.

Delhi Police on Sunday detained around 50 AAP supporters, 42 men and 8 women, including Sanjay Sing (MP), Rohit Kumar Mehraulia (MLA), Dinesh Mohnia (MLA), Kuldeep Singh (MLA) and Gopal Rai (Minister Delhi Government).

AAP workers were detained for allegedly violating section 144 CrPC imposed near CBI headquarters, Delhi Police said.

On Sunday, CBI arrested Delhi Dy CM Manish Sisodia in an ongoing investigation of a case related to alleged irregularities in framing and implementation of Delhi excise policy.
