If the Election Commission’s decision regarding the Shiv Sena faction row is implemented, Uddhav Thackeray will have to bid adieu to all the assets of the party. As per ADR statistics, as of 2019-20, Shiv Sena has an FD worth 148.46 crores, and immovable property worth 186 crores. Now, whosoever will be made the treasurer by the Shinde-faction, his signature will receive the recognition for economic transactions.

Shiv Sena has 82 offices in the state of Maharashtra, and his will, Balasaheb Thackeray had given Matoshree’s first floor to Jaidev Thackeray, and the second and third floors were given to Uddhav Thackeray. The ground floor was kept for Shiv Sena. Now, Uddhav will lose the ownership rights of the ground floor.

Currently, the Shinde-faction has 40 MLAs, while the Uddhav-faction has 15. Under these circumstances, it is being predicted that the MLAs from the Thackeray-faction can jump ships. The Shinde-faction has 13 MPs, while the Thackeray-faction has only 5, here too, there are chances of MPs switching sides. With gaining the rights of the ‘bow and arrow’ symbol, Shinde will be benefited, as this has been the symbol of Balasaheb’s Shiv Sena in Maharashtra for years. After the EC’s decision, Uddhav’s faction will have to campaign against this symbol.
