Washington: The US House of Representatives passed legislation to provide $25.2 billion in fiscal year 2025 funding for NASA, ahead of a federal government funding deadline at the end of the month.
House lawmakers passed the bill on Monday in a vote of 366 in favor, 21 opposed and one present.
The legislation provides approximately $25.225 billion in funding for NASA, including some $7.61 billion for the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate, $7.33 billion for the Science Mission Directorate and $4.47 billion for the Space Operations Mission Directorate.
The US Congress must pass appropriations bills or temporary funding legislation before the end of the month to prevent a government shutdown.
