2 lakh agricultural college students across India to receive ‘happiness training’

Now, all across the country, the students studying in agricultural colleges will receive ‘happiness training’. Their curriculum will now include, apart from their studies, ways to stay happy by reducing stress. For this, an MoU has been signed between the Indian Agricultural Research Institute and the Heartful Education Trust in Telangana.

Till now, each university had its own course curriculum, which includes studies and experimental education, because of which, students studying in many agricultural colleges go through stress, whose direct impact is witnessed on their career. Keeping in mind all this, the Indian Agricultural Research Institute has introduced yoga, meditation, and happiness into their curriculum, through which the students will be told about ways to stay happy, and classes will be organized for the same. All these courses are free of cost.

The students will also be taught about humanity, the importance of relationships, balancing material life, viewpoints towards occupations and businesses, and about improving their points of view.

A blueprint to introduce natural farming into the curriculum has also been prepared, and it is expected to begin from the next session. This will include detailed discussion of using natural manures like cow dung and compost to produce excellent crop yield, and traditional methods of agriculture, which the farmers are getting distanced from.
