It is a well-known fact that the living conditions of minorities in the country of Pakistan are obnoxious. It has also been known that cases wherein girls from minority communities are picked by Muslim men, raped, tortured, and are forced to convert to Islam, are an everyday phenomenon in the country.

Now, another similar case, this time from the Hyderabad city, situated in the Sindh province has come to the fore. A Hindu girl has been abducted yet again, and the parents of the girl have filed a complaint regarding the matter. The crime was committed at the Fateh Chowk area of Hyderabad city when the girl was going back home. The police have still not been able to trace the girl.

It is to be noted that the frequency of such crimes being committed in the country is pacing up, with this case being the fourth one within a span of a mere 15 days. Prior to this, the case of 3 Hindu girls being kidnapped and forced to convert to Islam had come to light. On 24th September, a 14-year-old Hindu girl was kidnapped from the Nasarpur area. In Mirpurkhas town, another Hindu girl was kidnapped while she was on the way back home.

What is deplorable about the circumstances in Pakistan is that, in most of such cases, the police are blamed for a lackadaisical attitude and dereliction of duty.
