For the first time, preparations have been made to use speech in order to detect a disease. Recently, a study has been made by the Florida University’s Health Voice Centre, within which, a database of 30 thousand types of voices has been prepared. This database, using the Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool, will be used to detect diseases like Alzheimer’s to cancer. As per experts, a person whose volume is low and the pitch tone will keep on lowering, it can be possible that the person is suffering from Parkinson’s.

Similarly, if someone’s voice deepens suddenly, then the risk of a stroke can be there, while stammering can be a warning sign of paralysis. This way, disease detection will be possible using other voice samples as well. For this, people would have to read a few lines on an app which is being made as well.

On the other hand, big tech-companies are working in this direction at a fast pace as well. Voice assistants are being prepared which will detect the change in your voice and suggest you to consult a doctor. With this, the hints of a major illness can be received at the right time for a quick treatment of the same.
