J&K Police produces chargesheet against 4 including juvenile in terror case

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday produced a chargesheet against four people including a juvenile accused in a terror incident case carried out against the minorities.

Police Thursday produced a chargesheet against four people including a juvenile who on August 15, 2022 at around 2015 hours allegedly carried out a grenade attack on house of a minority person at Gopalpora Chadoora in which one member of minority community identified as Karan Kumar, son of Anil Kumar and a resident of Gopalpora Chadoora got injured and was shifted to a hospital.

A case under sections 307 IPC and 16 ULA(P) Act was registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation taken up during which offences under section 307 IPC , 16, 18 ,23 39 ULA(P) was established against the four accused (including one juvenile) .

A chargesheet to this effect was produced before Competent Court Thursday in the quickest possible time of 72 days after obtaining the Sanction from the Competent Authority, Police said.

The accused were identified as Altaf Farooq Rather, Suhail Ahmad Malik, Faizan Khursheed Panjabi and the fourth, a juvenile.
