On the one hand, while basic needs like wheat flour and pulses are far from reach for the people in Pakistan, and they are on the verge of dying because of hunger, on the other hand, despite this bankruptcy, there has been no difference in the country buying arms for its army. This information has been revealed by a report from the Afghan Diaspora Network (ADN).

The Pakistani government has introduced heavy cut downs on its expenditure on health, education, and housing, while the defense budget is 1.53 lakh crore Pakistani rupees (7.5 billion dollars), which is 12 percent higher than the defense expenditure of 2021-22. As per the report, the new data on the expenditure of the army is confidential, but the picture has become clear with the numbers from the last budget.

In 2021, the Pakistani army bought military vehicles worth 26.3 crore dollar, while in 2020 this expenditure was 9.2 crore dollars. In 2021, for the navy, ships and parts worth 35.8 crore dollars were bought. And for the air force, rather than for buying equipment, the budget has been increased for drones and sensors from China. In 2021, Pakistan imported sensors worth 2.5 crore dollars, which was 1.5 crore dollars more than 2020.
