People are now getting bored with the colourful cars running on the roads. On the streets of London, every fourth car is grey in colour, this is the same car colour, for which people used to be crazy during 2000-2009, after which black, white, or cars of different colours became popular. As per the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, the old craze is returning in Britain. Currently, 25.7 percent of the cars are grey in colour.

After which colours similar to grey are popular, with 20.1 percent of them being black, and 16.7 percent are white in colour. If silver-coloured cars are included, then all across the globe, 80 percent of the cars being sold are of one of these four colours. These days, neutral colours are being liked as far as cars are concerned. This is the reason why there is emerging a tsunami of grey-coloured cars on the streets of Britain.

Actually, car colours are associated with marketing, before launching a car in the market, the manufacturers research a lot about its colour. There is a colour expert in the design department of every car company. As per such experts, the colour of the car is also a representation of the owner’s personality, and hence, people prefer neutral colours. Back in 1908, Ford cars had only two colours- red and grey.

But the owner, Henry Ford got to know that black colour is cheaper, and is long-lasting. This was when black cars were highly promoted. Then, during the 1950s, when car colour variants developed technically, colourful cars were manufactured.

And while car companies launch cars of many such colours which do not have buyers, these variants are of high use in marketing, and people are also trying to connect with nature with car colours.
