Chhatrapati Sambhaijnagar: After a brief hiatus prompted by the pandemic, the Deccan Odyssey is back with its royal journeys—now boasting even more luxurious interiors and services here on Friday.

An official release stated that Maharashtra’ s iconic luxury train, the Deccan Odyssey, will come after a gap of four years. Last time Deccan arrived here on March 16, 2020.

Among five super luxury trains in India and a prestigious project of the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation(MTDC) , a newly refurbished Deccan Odyssey was inaugurated on September 21 and is now welcoming passengers to experience the romance of train journeys in style and splendour.

While the luxury train primarily rides to destinations across Maharashtra—with the aim to promote the state’s popular and lesser-known tourist destinations, culinary offerings and arts and culture—its tours also extend to other parts of India.

As the Deccan Odyssey primarily attracts foreign tourists, it gives them a unique, royal taste of India. These are the tours on the itinerary for 2023-24.

The train will arrive in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar with 20 passengers and will detrain at 1330 and then will do the sightseeing of Daulatabad fort and Ellora caves before leaving for Mumbai, it added.
