Wayanad: International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is distributing more than 500 food packets daily in landslide-hit areas in Wayanad, where relief work is still ongoing on a large scale.

“Destructive and deadly landslides and widespread flooding due to torrential rains have killed hundreds and left many homeless. ISKCON Trivandrum immediately began taking action to supply both essential items and food packets to those affected by the devastation,” sources said.

“We are always at the forefront of helping people in crisis, and we have taken several measures to support Wayanad. For the past few days, we have been supplying essential items such as gumboots, groceries, packed food, and prasadam lunch packets, reaching thousands of people.”

“As we know, the current situation in Wayanad is dire. Several houses have been washed away, leaving many people homeless. Many have taken shelter in schools, camps, and neighbouring areas.”

“More than 20 volunteers are working day and night to meet the needs of the affected people. We plan to continue our efforts with the help of the public who can follow ISKCON Trivandrum’s lifesaving service on our Facebook page to offer any kind of support.”
