Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday said Union Home Minister Amit Shah has convened a meeting of two chief ministers on December 14 in Delhi to discuss Karnataka-Maharashtra border issue.
“We will clearly state our stand on the issue. Already, we have furnished details to Amit Shah regarding State Reorganisation Act, pending case in the Supreme Court and others. The home secretary will be explained that the Apex Court has not taken up any such case since 2004 and provisions in the Constitution,” he told reporters here.
He was responding to a query on his meeting with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde over border row at the swearing-in ceremony of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar yesterday.
Following the Karnataka-Maharashtra border dispute eruption, Maha Vikas Aghadi MPs met Shah, and Karnataka MPs also are scheduled to meet him over the issue.
Shah had assured all MVA MPs earlier that he will resolve the controversy.
