In yet another tragic incident that sent shockwaves around the national capital and beyond, 20-year-old Yash Kumar was brutally stabbed and murdered in East Delhi’s Geeta Colony. It is being said that Yash was killed in a road-rage incident after one of the accused, a juvenile, got into an argument with Yash after the latter’s scooter brushed past the minor, and the matter escalated when two associates of the minor and Yash’s cousin got into the scuffle.

During the scuffle, the three accused started chasing Yash and his cousin and one of the accused, Muhammad Amaan, stabbed Yash in the lower back. And even though Yash was rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

At this juncture, it is of utmost importance to note that whenever a Hindu is murdered by a group of Muslims, the ‘road-rage’ trope is repeated every single time. But why is it that in every case, the Hindu is the one who is murdered, and only the Hindu’s vehicle brushes past the Muslim(s)?

In order to get to the deeper truth of the case, Sonakshi Datta of GoaChronicle got in touch with Hindu Activist Bittu Bajrangi, who met with Yash’s family, and talked about the real truth, hidden under the garb of the ‘road-rage’ storyline.

Speaking about the matter, Bajrangi said, ‘Out of the three accused, two are Muslims and one is a Hindu. One of the Muslim accused and his Muslim friends had earlier had an argument with Yash on the day of Eid, that revolved around Yash being friends with a Muslim girl, who was also friends with the accused.’

‘The Muslim accused were involved in illegal activities like extortion, police officers in Delhi told me. For quite some time before Yash got killed, the Muslims wanted to achieve something like this, but they couldn’t earlier, as all of them lived in the same colony. The scooter brushing past and the road-rage was a mere pretext’, revealed Bajrangi.

As per the updates given by police officials, arms were also recovered from the Muslim accused, which they were carrying with them while killing Yash, but he was ultimately stabbed with a knife.

On speaking with Yash’s bereaved family members, it was also known that the Muslims in the area have been threatening them, saying, ‘We have only killed your son till now, but you would be killed too.’

The family members and Yash’s cousin involved in the scuffle, Aman Sharma, also revealed how it completely seemed like a pre-planned attack, as four-five people had surrounded Yash and it was the accused who brushed against their scooter.

Based on the recordings of these threats and the danger against Yash’s cousin’s life, Bittu Bajrangi did his part, submitted the evidence to the police and administration, and now, Yash’s home is being guarded by two police personnel for security provision.

The three accused, including the juvenile, are currently under police remand, and a case under Section 103 (Murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, has been filed against the accused, Muhammad Amaan and Lucky.
