Investigation ordered in Muzaffarpur incident :Nitish

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday informed the state Legislative Assembly that investigation has been ordered in the criminal incident of Muzaffarpur and said that the authorities have been asked to look into each and every aspect of the incident.

Intervening into the pandemonium created by the opposition members of BJP in the state assembly during the pre lunch sitting on Tuesday, Kumar said that directions have been issued to conduct probe into the incident and the officers concerned have been asked ti look into the matter as no one should remain in trouble.

He assured to inform the members of the lower house to apprise them about the outcome of the enquiry report, once it is submitted.

Remaining dissatisfied with the reply of the chief minister, the leader of the opposition in the state assembly Vijay Kumar Sinha said that the house cannot function only on the basis of assurances and demanded dismissal of the Minister Mohammed Israel Mansoori from RJD fold in Nitish cabinet in view of his involvement in the incident.

Sinha said that one Rahul Kumar was murdered on February 9 this year and till date no action has been initiated against the said minister who is involved in the killing.

He said no officer would take Cognizance of the incident till continuation of the Minister in the cabinet and demanded his dismissal till the completion of the enquiry.

Reminding Chief Minister about his policy of neither protecting or implicating anyone, Sinha said it was a high profile case and action has not been initiated even after passage of 15 days of the incident.

He said that the chief minister can get the report within an hour, if he wished for.

The opposition leader maintained that the house cannot function only on assurances and demanded dropping of Israel Mansuri as well as an another minister in Nitish cabinet from RJD fold Surendra Prasad Yadav from the cabinet for using derogatory remarks about Indian Army.

Intervening into the pandemonium the speaker Awadh Bihari Choudhary said that adequate action would be taken in connection with the Muzaffarpur incident on the basis of the enquiry report and asked the BJP members to let the house function smoothly. The opposition members who were creating noisy scenes on both of the issues continue to create rucks.

The speaker said that the chair is not weak and will not succumb to any pressure and maintained that action would be initiated as per the enquiry report.

Dissatisfied with the assurances of the chief minister, the opposition members who were in the well demanding sacking of both of the ministers Mansuri and Surendra Yadav staged a noisy walk out from the house and boycotted the proceedings which was continuing amid pandemonium.
