Kishan Reddy underlines pivotal role of today’s children in shaping future of India

Hyderabad: Union Minister for Tourism G Kishan Reddy on Monday underlined the pivotal role of today’s children in shaping the future of India.

Participating in the Healthy Baby Show event hosted at Begumpet Palace here, Kishan Reddy, also BJP Telangana Unit President, distributed kits to mothers in attendance.

Addressing the gathering, Reddy said that there exists no substitute for infants other than breast milk.

He highlighted the significance of breast milk in safeguarding infants from diseases, emphasizing the importance of adhering to doctor’s advice on breastfeeding practices.

The Minister expressed concern over the tendency to portray girl children as overly delicate, underscoring the need to shatter such stereotypes as they are detrimental.

Reddy advocated for treating girl children and boy children equally, highlighting the principle of gender equality.

Citing significant examples, he pointed out that the President of the country and the Governor of the state are both women, showcasing the achievements of women across diverse fields.

The Minister also highlighted women’s accomplishments in professions such as piloting fighter planes and guarding the nation’s borders.

Drawing attention to the gender disparity that existed in Haryana previously, Reddy credited Prime Minister Modi’s initiatives for achieving gender parity and equilibrium between men and women.
