The father of the minor wrestler, who had earlier alleged that former WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has sexually assaulted her, has now come out to deny claims made by protesting wrestler Sakshi Malik. Earlier, Malik had claimed that the family of the minor wrestler was intimidated and hence, they changed their statement; but now the accuser’s father has said that this never happened.

Speaking with India Today, the minor’s father stated, “My family was not browbeaten in any form, whatever we had to do, was done by us. There is no truth in the claims being made which say that we were intimidated”. He has also requested Sakshi Malik to clarify her statement.

On Saturday, June 18, wrestler Sakshi Malik, along with her husband, Satyavrat Kadian, shared a video on social media, in which she claimed that the minor wrestler had given two statements. First, in front of the police under Section 161, and the second one, in front of the magistrate in the court, under Section 164. But the minor’s family was intimidated, and hence, the female wrestler changed her statement out of fear.

Earlier, it was stated by this minor wrestler’s father that a false case of sexual assault was filed by his daughter against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, because she felt that the decisions made by him and the WFI during the Asian Championship selections were partial. This was why his daughter got angry.
