Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Monday dropped by 409 pts at 37,197.86 as heavy selling was seen in Energy, Bankex, Finance, Realty and Technology stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too dipped by 95.75 pts to 10,977.70.
The sectoral indices include Energy, Bankex, Finance, Realty and Technology stocks dragged the market.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 37,596.02 and 37,197.86 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 11,058.05 and 10,936.05 respectively.
However, the Mid Cap moved up by 0.35 pc and Small Cap by 0.91 pc.
In 30 scrips, 10 advanced while 20 declined.
The losers were IndusInd Bank by b3.34 pc to Rs 506.10, Kotak Bank by 3.17 pc to Rs 1324.15, Reliance Industries by 1.76 pc to Rs 2030.50, ONGC by 1.66 pc to Rs 77.10 and Bajaj Finance by 1.47 pc to Rs 3203.90.
The gainers were Titan by 2.90 pc to Rs 1073.55, Tata Steel by 1.68 pc to Rs 372.55, Maruti Suzuki by 0.97 pc to Rs 6321.30 and SBI by 0.60 pc to Rs 192.60.
