Shinde directed to start recruitment process for 40K posts in civic bodies

Mumbai: Maharashtra State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has directed to start the recruitment process for 40,000 various posts in all the Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats immediately.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also gave instructions to all civic bodies to pay special attention to improving the quality of schools and health services.

According to the official press statement issued last night stated that,a conference of the Chief Executives of all Municipal Corporations and ‘A’ Class Municipalities in the state was held at Sahyadri Guest House last evening .

Mumbai City Guardian Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, Urban Development Department Additional Chief Secretary Bhushan Gagrani, Principal Secretary Sonia Sethi, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal were attended the meeting.

Mr Shinde said that ,at this time, a total of 1983 posts of the state cadre will be recruited through the Directorate and 3720 posts in Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ in Municipal Council-Nagar Panchayat level cadre, the process is being done in 34 districts through the selection committee headed by District Collectors.

Also, the recruitment process for 8490 posts in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has been started and the chief minister directed to complete the entire recruitment by the end of May after starting the process of all these recruitment processes.

He also gave instructions to review the vacant posts in the Municipal Corporations and complete all the service related matters and start the recruitment process on a war footing,added Mr Shinde.
