Trump vows to promptly reveal causes of helicopter crash near New York

Washington: US President Donald Trump said the transportation secretary is investigating the helicopter crash near New York and the cause will be revealed promptly.

“Terrible helicopter crash in the Hudson River. Looks like six people, the pilot, two adults, and three children, are no longer with us. The footage of the accident is horrendous. God bless the families and friends of the victims. Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, and his talented staff are on it. Announcements as to exactly what took place, and how, will be made shortly!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

There were six people on board the helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River: the pilot, two adults and three children, according to New York City authorities. Four died immediately, two – in the hospital. The helicopter took off from downtown Manhattan in the middle of the day on Thursday and crashed into the river 20 minutes later. According to preliminary information, there was a family from Spain on board.
