Two FIRs files against 10 accused for assaulting person informing police on Corona Virus suspect

Margao: The Goa Police has registered two FIRs against 10 accused for assaulting a person who had informed the police about a Coronavirus suspect who had attended the Tablighi Jamaat function at Nizamuddin Markaz in New Delhi.

Two minors who have been accused of assault has been sent to Apna Ghar – Children Home.

Eight of the accused have been placed under arrest.

A concerned citizen from the Muslim community had informed the Goa Police about a coronavirus suspect, he was assaulted for being a whistleblower from persons within the Muslim community linked to Tablighi Jamaat.

The person took to social media to share his trauma and horrible ordeal. 

Concerned citizens of social media informed the Goa Police who acted on the viral video of the victim.
